Intestaid case study in Sunday Express Magazine

Noticed an article on Intestaid in the Sunday Express Magazine, Health Matters section. The case study was on Jyotika Dave a 50 year old sales co-ordinator who has had stomach cramps, constipation and bouts of diarrhoea for 2 years. After about  a year of tests her consultant diagnosed IBS and prescribed antispasmodics and pain killers. The usual repsonse by GPs who don't know much about IBS. Last Autumn she saw an article on Intestaid the nucleotide based supplement which is aimed at replacing and restoring healthy cells on the gut lining. After a few weeks of taking the capsules she noticed that her flare-ups were becoming less frequent and then she realised she hadn't had an attack in over a week. It stayed that way and the bloating was gone and her spasms calmed down and her bowel habits were regular again. Interestingly, wondered if this was everyone experience of Intestaid, she tried not taking the Intestaid to see if the symptoms would come back. They did and she is back on Intestaid.  As ever not sure that Intestaid will work for everyone but if you have similar of contradictory stories please reply to this blog?

Intestaid in the News

The recent article in the Daily Telegraph with comment from leading dietician Nigel Denby grabbed a lot of attention. Intestaid has been given a revamp with new packaging as the manufacturers hope to get the message of the benefit of nucleotide supplementation to a wider audience. Gratefully www.ibshealthcare.co.uk was listed as online supplier which brought a lot of traffic to our site.

Diet feature in SHE magazine

We were delighted to feature in April's addition of SHE Magazine having tried their suggested diet for reducing the symptoms of IBS. The basics of the diet encourage a healthy balanced diet, and incorporate foods that are less likely to cause bloating. I am sure the same results can be achieved if our customers follow our diet tips....in our experience one of the benefits of following a prescribed plan is that gets you to focus on what you are eating rather than leaving it to chance.  We would be interested to know if you have the same experience or have suggestions for diet modifications that have really helped reduce your symptoms
