Buscopan® IBS Relief is a licensed medicine that has been demonstrated to relieve cramping and the pain associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). From direct experience it does work, although we are aware that for some it doesn’t provide much benefit. Buscopan® lBS Relief belongs to a group of medicines called antispasmodics, which are used to relieve painful colicky aching and spasm in the bowel associated with IBS.
Do not purchase this product unless you have been diagnosed with IBS by your GP or other health professional.
Dosage
Buscopan® lBS Relief is not recommended for children under 12 years. Adults and children 12 years or over: Start by taking one tablet 3 times a day. If more pain relief is needed you can increase your dose to a maximum of two tablets 4 times a day.
Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not chew it
Does it work?
Yes, for many. Proper pharmaceutical standard trials (double-blind studies) have been recently published in Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics. Boehringer Ingleheim the manufacturers claim these results have provided even more evidence to conclude that Buscopan® IBS Relief tablets (hyoscine butylbromide) is an effective and well-tolerated treatment for abdominal cramping, pain and discomfort, commonly associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
