Colofac Product Information

Indications

For the relief of painful abdominal spasms in medically confirmed IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).

For the symptomatic treatment of the spasm and pain which occurs in the gut or intestine in irritable bowel syndrome (ibs) that has been confirmed by your Doctor.

Directions

Adults, elderly and children over 10 years: 1 tablet 3 times daily 20 minutes before meals. The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. If symptoms persist for more than two weeks consult a doctor. Not recommended under 10 years.
Do not exceed the stated dose. If you miss a dose, take the next one as usual, do not double the next dose.

Ingredients

Round, white, sugar coated tablet containing: Mebeverine hydrochloride 135mg
Other ingredients: lactose, talc, magnesium state, sucrose, gelatine, acacia and carnauba wax.

Warnings

Consult your doctor if you are experiencing symptoms for the first time of if you maybe pregnant
Do not take Colofac IBS tablets if you are allergic to any of the above ingredients.
If any of the following apply to you do not take this product. It may not be the right treatment for you.
See your doctor as soon as possible if:

* you are aged 40 years or over
* you have passed blood from the bowel
* you are feeling sick or vomiting
* you have lost your appetite or lost weight
* you are looking pale and feeling tired
* you are suffering from severe constipation
* you have a fever
* you have recently travelled abroad
* you have difficulty or pain passing urine
* you are pregnant, or planning to become pregnant
* you have abnormal vaginal bleeding or discharge

Side Effects

Side effects are rare but should you experience any side effects report to your doctor or pharmacist. These rare effects can include inflamed or reddened skin, itching or skin rashes. If you develop swelling of the face, lips and/or tongue, stop taking Colofac IBSand contact your Doctor straight away.

Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.

Based on the above dosage the pack will last for 5 days.
