Tea Bread with raisins and prunes
A low fat alternative to malt loaf to start the day as you mean to go on. You'll need to prepare the ingredients at least 6 hours before you plan to bake the cake, but the actual recipe is incredibly simple
Serves 4

Ingredients
5 Earl Grey tea bags
300ml (10floz) boiling water
225g (8oz) Prunes (snipped)
1 medium egg (beaten)
22g (8oz) Raisins
200g (7oz) Brown Sugar
250g (9oz) wholemeant self raising flour
You will need a 1.2 litre (2 pint) bread tin
Pre heat oven to 180°C/gas4/350F
Method
1. Soak the tea bags in the water and leave until cold. Squeeze the tea bags and discard
2. Mix all the ingredients together and leave for at least 6 hours
3. Line the bread tin neatly with greaseproff paper. Spoon the mixture into the tin, and then bake for 30 mins
Kiwi, Raspbery and Blueberry Crush
This vitamin rich mixture provides masses of anti-oxidants and nutrients to make up for any overindulgence from the night before

Ingredients
2 large Kiwi fruit
110g (4oz) mixed raspeberries and blueberries
250ml (9floz) apple juice
250ml (9floz) cranberry juice

1. Whizz together in a blender and serve in a chilled glass
